Why we built this
We own six group home properties. We built the tool we needed.
My wife has been a Direct Support Professional for 15 years. She knows exactly what happens inside a group home — the staffing pressure, the house manager turnover, the coordination that unravels when nobody has the same information.
I've been renting to IDD providers for years, managing properties the hard way: a spreadsheet for leases, a text thread for repairs, a shoebox for receipts, and a tax season that felt like a part-time job. It works until it doesn't.
We also spent 20 years building integration systems for healthcare networks, including Northwell Health in New York City — the largest employer in the state. Two of us, actually. We're identical twins, which means we've been solving the same problems from two angles for a long time.
In healthcare, we fixed this exact problem dozens of times. Systems that didn't talk to each other — we connected them. Manual work that shouldn't exist — we automated it. Critical information stuck in silos — we got it flowing. Group home property management has the same problem.
